Beeswax presents as a natural alternative and is appreciated for its clean-burning properties and pleasant honey-like scent; however, it is not as widely used as paraffin due to its higher cost and limited supply. Soy wax has gained popularity as a cleaner, renewable alternative, but it is still relatively newer in the market, meaning it has not surpassed paraffin in terms of overall use. Gel wax, while interesting for its unique translucent quality, is more specialized and less common in standard candle production. Thus, the prevalence and practicality of paraffin wax solidify its status as the most common material for candles.
